Harry Potter and the Half-Blood prince

I just came back from seeing Harry Potter and the Half-blood prince.
It was pretty good. I really liked it and want to see it again.
but the ending dissapointed me.

I enjoyed how they handled different situations.
I was dissappointed in the absolute lack of Tonks and Lupin though. They're in for like 10 minutes. a good 10 mts but still only 10 mts. and they're together already, I think she calls him honey or something to show it, and I like that they're together but I also liked how she yelled at him at the end.
the love decahedron is handled very well. in the book they seem to be walking around eggshell, avoiding the subject. here they don't and that's refreshing and fun, makes the whole arc less annoying.

No Rufus Scrimgeour, no other minister and what's really tragic, no "Dumbledore's man, through and through" line. I really missed it. I loved that line.

I also missed Dumbledore's funeral at the end. He's a huge influence in Harry's life, a essential characters in the books and he can't even get a bloody funeral? he deserved at least that.

and no epic DA and OotP vs Death Eaters at the end. I'm really bummed about that. I was looking forward to it!

Luna also doesn't show up for long. which is also a shame, she's so brilliant.

I liked how Ginny has a bigger role, so their whole romance doesn't seem to come out of the blue, they actually spent time together and Ginny is more proactive and I like that.
I didn't like that there actually wasn't any romance. all of the ones we see in the book add some hope to the gloomy atmosphere, everyone dying and dissappearing, and having people still getting married and falling in love makes it seem as if it isn't all lost. taking that out the world seem a lot more gloomy. not bsg-like, but darker.
less weasleys, no bill and fleur, no harry and ginny practicallly and no remus and tonks, no bill getting attacked,

Oh, and I missed Cormac McLaggen's ridiculous perfomance,Luna's commentary and Harry and Ginny's victory kiss.
and it is a real shame we didn't get to see any of the happy times depicted in the book.

btw, can Lupin and Tonks get their spin-off movie?please? they really don't get enough time.

The movie moves pretty fast but it also explains things pretty well. in a very simple, basic way but it does explain things. and shows what Draco's doing and other stuff.

I also liked the sequence at christmas, when Harry and Ron go back to the weasleys. the only time we see Lupin and Tonks. There's some awkard situations, there's discussion and fighting, pretty much the only we see in the movie and in a really, really tragic and plain evil twist, the burrow is set on fire by the death eaters. bastards. I was nearly screaming at them "aguamenti! aguamenti!!!!"
It's a pretty tragic sequence.

when I first saw the posters and they had Hermione kind of stalking Ron and Lavender, I was worried but it's handled well. she doesn't come off clingy or psychotic. I still don't understand why J.K. paired them off in the last second though. same with L&T for that matter.

Dumbledore was good, he wasn't as brusk as in other movies where he seems almost violent at times. though I didn't cry.
the sequence in the cave was fantastic. very well done. though they missed an important line "I'm not worried,Harry. I am with you" they put it in the damn posters and not in the movie?
I liked Harry under felix felicis. he was less angsty, less worried, more cheeky, it was fun.

I think they also did a good job of showing the trio's friendship while at the same time showing their separate relationships.

All in all a good movie, though it ended a bit abruptly. I guess they're saving it all for the next one. well, the next two technically. and they better be fraking epic, cause I was robbed here.

I want to see it again. and I want to see it subbed, not dubbed.
I need to see it again to analyze it more. the first time half my brain is enjoying the movie while the other half screams "you're doing it wrong!!!!!"
