dark and terrible,definitely.
I recently started watching Star Trek TOS and it's really good, but more than that, if there were not ST,there wouldn't be so many other that were inspired by ST. there wouldn't be the same technology.
It wouldn't just be a loss to trekkies, the world as we know would be completely different. people,non-geeky,people don't realise the influence of science-fiction but it is a very important one.
