Primeval was wonderful and scary this week. those creatures were really terrifying, I covered my eyes several times.
I still miss Cutter. a lot. I ended up crying again.this show is getting really good at that.
It's as if in BSG they'd killed Adama and left Apollo in his place.
I like Danny, the new guy. I really do.
I don't see why they had to kill Cutter. well, I do. it was the only way he'd ever leave. and I can't help but think that Helen still has the ability to create another Cutter, should Douglas Henshall choose to come back.or they can get a new one from a alternate reality.
In this episode Jenny left. which was also very sad. she's great. I'll miss her too.
It was a very emotional episode. I spend half the episode terrified and then worried and then sad and everything. I was very worried for Connor when he went into the room without his helmet and got trapped in there.
He and Abby had this sweet moment in her lab, which was pretty much the only point in the episode that was 'happy' or something along those lines.

I wonder how did Danny find out about Claudia Brown and all that. did someone told him? did he read files or whatever?
and is Jenny gone for good?

Well, this ep had a very valuable lesson: don't touch weird things. The Doctor would've been turned into a giant monster right away, he wouldn't have only touched it, he would've licked it too,I bet.

It just occurred to me about the poor rich guy's assistant. he got sucked in. I imagine he turned into a monster in the other side. and no one will know. he'll just be missing.
Well, at least he gets to live. though I don't know how good that is, if there is any awareness of their state.

I liked how Abby is the only one taking the poor creature's side. She is usually the only one to do that and it is always necessary, I find. consider all points of view. I do like how they don't kill the creatures unless they got no other choice. how they usually just send them back. it's very  generous. I've seen many other shows where they just kill them with no regrets.
and I love how Abby and Connor adopt the ones left behind. they're building up quite the zool.
Also, they called the wandering one in this ep "Sid". so I'm assuming the other one is called "Nancy" and that is made of win.
and of course, it reminds me of the time Cutter called them Sid & Nancy which makes the names even more perfect.

It was an emotional rollercoaster and I loved it.
This is officially my Doctor Who replacement.

I've got a couple of bunnies running through my head. I think I'll go read some fics later.

Now, Dollhouse:
Great episode too. it was the first stand alone since "Man on the street" aired and it was handled very well. I liked the A-plot but my favourite was the b-plot. No surprise, since I am a big fan of Topher.
I don't think he's uncapable of making friends, I just don't thinkhe has time.
according to the papers online, he's been working with the dollhouse for the last 10 years since he was 18.  he probably never got around to making friends since they demand a lot of time.

If he ever had some, it was a long time ago and he lost track of them. making new ones is hard and time consuming and complicated. especially since all he does is work and he can't talk about work.
I suspect he pretty much lives in the dollhouse. all his equipment is there. he has no friends,no social life. he can play and watch tv there. he has food and clothes and showers there. why would he leave?
If he does keep a flat, it's probably more or less empty and definitely looks unlived. no food in the fridge,or rotting food. no plants or maybe a few dead ones, etc.

Like Dr.Saunders. I'd like to see more bonding scenes between them. They're two broken, lonely people and I think they'd be good company for the other. even in a completely platonic scenario.
(this is kinda the plot of a fic I'm writing)

I thought it was very cute he made himself a friend for his birthday.
because even though he knows it's fake, the experience is real.
the memories, the fun had.
After all the disgusting and abusive uses of the technology, I thought it was a nice and refreshing change. he just wants a mater, like the Doctor in 'partners in crime'
btw, I'd love a fic where Topher and The Doctor meet.
but he'd hate the dollhouse and would try to bring it down. but he's always shown some respect and admiration for geniouses, even if they are eviland crazy like Mr Lumic from AoS/RotC and that woman from the 2008 special.

I also liked how they showed Adelle knowing and even better, allowing it.
she really is a chessmaster.  and she sees how lonely the job can be. she's felt it too. which is why ms.lonelyhearts existed.  and that's what,IMO, her quib about all relationships being illusions meant.

Paul continues to bore me.
I feel no connection to him. his character is flat and boring. he slept with millie and now he feels bad about it,knowing she's a doll. it was kinda obvious that was gonna happen.

I've been seeing a lot of backlash against Topher and I don't know why.

People have no problem with Paul sleeping with what he knows to be a doll and with Adelle being a client but Topher makes a buddy and everyone attacks him?
well, I've been seeing it for a while now but with his ep it became obvious.
I like that he is excited and obsessive about his job. yes, he may be slightly arrogant but like Bones. they are smart. that is a fact. why hide it or deny it?

He like his job. how many can say that?
and instead of getting a real life blow-up doll like almost every other client, he made a  friend. he didn't care which doll.

I've seen comments about his 'lechness' and I really don't see it. I didn't know what the word means so I looked it up. It means 'to display violent or offensive sexual desires'.
which just left me wtf?  reading the comments make it seem as if Topher's always abusing his power and jumping the actives.

I really don't see where the hate is coming from.
he's working with things that excite him, and he isn't worried about how they are used.
I don't think that is necessarily a bad thing. he chooses not to worry. there's a lot of other people for that.

As far as he knows this people volunteered.

Topher could easily be an evil scientist. the kind The Doctor or The Middleman must take down.except he isn't evil or crazy.

well, it's a YMMV thing.  It just seems unfair to me.
